I decided that since I have all this wonderful Emergency Department experience and all the interesting things I have seen, it is time to start writing.

I honestly am an ED nurse.  I have worked in Emergency for more than 13 years.  I have worked at large intercity teaching hospitals and while I was a traveling nurse I worked in Emergency Departments ranging from 12 beds all the way up to 90 beds.

Number 1.  Do not place glass products in your vagina or anus. (Unless of course it is a glass dildo, meant for insertion).  This is to include bottles, beer bottles, rum bottles, wine bottles, light bulbs, nail polish bottles and other assorted glass objects.  Seriously, this one happens all the time.




My latest story about glass objects didn't even come from a patient.  It actually came from a Co-Worker.  One of our tech's decided to say out loud that she had a day when she was so horny and she didn't own any sex toys.  She was hot and bothered and saw no relief, she looked around and didn't see anything more suitable than a bottle of rum.

She covered it at least with one of her rubber gloves and had at it.  Thank goodness she didn't have a mishap and end up in our Emergency Department with a vaginal bleed related to the glass bottle breaking.  She would have had to quit her job.  One would never outlive the stories.

She then stated that when she had company come over within the next week, she offered them drinks but stated that she didn't have any rum, at which time her husband of course said that there was a bottle in the bedroom.  She saved herself by saying that it had been broken and there was no rum left.

Glass is awesome for temperature play, put it in your  freezer only for a few minutes or the fridge to get it cold.  You can place it in a glass of ice water and it will take on the coolness.  You can place it in a cup of hot water  and make it heat up.  Be sure to check your temperatures on your inner wrist before you use it as you do not want burnt lips or frostbite.

The only draw back to the solid toys that I have found is you have to be careful when using with a partner because if they get to excited with their thrusting motions you can actually end up with a bruised cervix or innards!!  This can also happen if you thrust it too hard by yourself.  If using with a partner be sure that you have a means of communication that they know they are thrusting too hard.

Glass dildo’s are completely safe to use.  They are actually the same as Pyrex glass that we use in our cookware.  I have some Pyrex that is more than 10 years old.  The glass has boron oxide and silica added in the mixing process and then glass then becomes borosilicate glass.  This changes the  chemical composition so that the glass will break into large pieces and not splinter into small pieces.  It also gives the glass resistance to thermal shock.  This means is works with temperature variations and won’t break.  The glass will scratch though and you need to check for scratches before using your glass pieces so that you don’t end up with micro tears in your flesh.

The glass can get scratched with dropping it and I especially am careful with cleaning because the glass gets slippery and ends up dropping into the sink.

Icicles No 2 has a total length of  8 ½ inches.  The diameter of the largest ball on the end is 1 1/2 inches.  There are a total of  9 balls with the diameter of the smallest being ¾ of an inch.  It is actually a lighter piece of glass weighing in at 8 ounces.  The balls give a popping sensation when the vaginal walls and external genitalia give to let them in and out.  It feels amazing!

Icicles No 2 is completely clear and the light reflects in it.  I am so impressed with the aesthetic value of  my glass pieces and if I were able to I would have all of my glass displayed in a case.

Glass is easy to care for, you can use any type of lube with glass from your oils, silicone, hybrids and waterbased.  Glass can be placed in your dishwasher or boiled to sterilize.  You can use antibacterial soaps and water or your toy sprays.

Storage can be an issue with glass toys.  Some say they keep them in socks, the packaging they come in, or you can buy aftermarket padded bags.  I have also enlisted the help of a seamstress who made me some padded bags.  You need to be sure that you don’t let your glass toys bang together as this is what can cause the glass to scratch.

No 2 comes from pipedreams in an elegant looking box with the product picture on it.  The glass toy comes nestled in a foam cutout to keep it safe.  The packaging is not discreet.

The No 2 is great for beginners since it’s size is not intimidating and it works great as an introduction to the wonders of the textures that glass provides.  I would rate this one a 5 out of 5.  While it is not my favorite it is sure to please and there are no drawbacks!

This is a great smaller anal plug for use by men and women.  It is actually a good glass plug for a beginner.  It is firm due to the glass but it is not  over whelming.  It is easy to insert and great for use with intercourse or by yourself.  This can be used for extended wear also since it is not to uncomfortable to sit while wearing.  It is actually a great piece for those starting to explore double penetration.

I have had other glass pieces that I literally could not use anally because of the size.  This one is non intimidating and fits easily.  It is completely smooth and has no textures which is also great for a beginner who doesn't know if they would like textures anally.

Sasha small plug is completely smooth.  Black in color.  It does have the slightly bulbous head at the tip.  The bubble tends to give a popping sensation when traveling in and out of your orifices.  It is opaque with no light coming through. The glass is actually borosilicate glass other wise know as Pyrex, the stuff your cookware is made from.  Borosilicate glass contains boron to change the density of the glass so that it resists breakage and it to break into large pieces with out shards or splinters.

 This is very safe for sex toys since out bodies have give and the toy doesn’t.  The way to ruin this glass is by dropping it and getting chips or scratches on the surface.  The scratches can actually cause tissue damage.  Be sure to inspect your glass before you use it. The glass is a food safe, hypoallergenic, non porous, latex and phthalates free material.  There is no smell and no I did not taste it.  I was concerned with not being able to see through  the black glass but I figured that if there were cracks that the whole plug would break apart.  It is actually hard to get chips into the plug.  I dropped it in the sink and I was quite surprised that it didn’t have any damage to.  It does get very slick with lubes or water on it.

Size/Shape/Design

This is simple elegance.  It is 3 ½ inches long with 3 inches insertable.  It has the bulbous head which has a diameter of 1 ½ inches and the shaft has a diameter of 1 ¼ inches.  It is not an over whelming plug which I really like.  The size tapers nicely.  It has a flared base that extended ¼ inch from the shaft and is ½ inch thick.  All of the glass pieces are hand made so dimensions may vary slightly with each piece.  It fits easily in the palm of your hand.

Even though this is a plug if you are using it with thrusting action please be careful not to thrust too hard as you can injure yourself.  The glass doesn’t have any give to it.

Care/Maintenance

Other than inspecting your glass before use and being careful not to drop it, glass is an easy to care for product.  You can use any type of lube silicone, hybrid, oils, water based.  Be careful not to drop it when you have it all slicked up.  You can clean it with any of your  anti bacterial soaps, toy sprays, bleach solution.  You can boil it you can put it in your dishwasher.  Warning: very slick when wet.

For storage you can keep it in a sock, in your drawer, in it’s box.  You can purchase padded bags.

Packaging

The plug comes in a simple black box with a foam insert holding the plug.

This plug is beautiful, very simple but elegant.   The plug is very comfortable, great for someone moving up from silicones or even just starting with anal play.  It is not really travel friendly due to the possibility of getting chipped or broken.  If you are very careful it would work.

I would rate this elegant glass plug a 5 out of 5 and would suggest it for beginners.
